UPES members at the RES Serbia 2022 Conference

RES Serbia 2022 conference was held on 15 September 2022 at the Metropol Hotel in Belgrade, in the organization of the Association Renewable Energy Sources of Serbia (RES Serbia), an institutional partnership of the Ministry of Mining and Energy, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the organization WindEurope.

The conference gathered more than 350 participants – domestic, regional and European professionals from the renewables sector, investors, representatives of state institutions, banks and the world’s largest companies.

Dragoljub Cibulić, member of the Board of UPES and senior partner of BDK Advokati, moderated the environmental panel. Member of UPES Ljuboslav Lenhart (New Energy Solutions) was a pannlist in this panel. The panelists were also Tony Iles (Pepper Advisory Limited), Sofie Fleischer Michaelsen (IFC), Nikola Stojnić (Institute for Nature Conservation). Together they discussed development, construction and operation of RES projects from the point of view of environmental protection.

Experts in the field of renewable energy sources discussed the impact of the global security, economic and energy crisis on the development of RES projects; market challenges, regulatory obstacles and investment environment as key elements for the realization of wind farms and other RES projects; financing of RES projects; development and construction of RES projects in the context of environmental protection; integration of RES into the electricity market, and other current energy topics.
