In the period between September 27 and 29, 2023, the Serbian Energy Law Association (UPES) together with the Standing Conference of Cities and Municipalities (SKGO), continued organizing training for representatives of local self-government units on the “Energy transition in local self-government and how to achieve it”, at the hotel “Norcev” on Iriški venac.

The participants of the training were employees of the local self-government unit, who deal with energy and decision-makers, especially: energy managers, managers in technical services and in finance, lawyers, employees who deal with environmental protection.

The goal of the training: the contribution of local self-government to the realization of the national policy of security of energy supply and reduction of the impact on climate change and achievement of additional knowledge in the field of energy law, energy efficiency, use of renewable energy sources, environmental and climate protection, all with the aim to increase capacity of local self-government and achieve the goals of sustainable development of local self-government units toward energy sustainability.

In addition to the acquisition of knowledge, the training also had the character of connectivity in order to exchange good practices and experiences in the realization of the goals of local self-government units in the field of energy and climate.
